FAQ

FAQ

1. Are there differences in the angles at which the top rotates?

Yes, there are some variations at times. However, the mean angle that the top rotates at each pulse is 44.63 degrees with a standard deviation of 2.62.

2. Is there a lot of friction between the top and the pan?

There is some friction because no object is perfectly frictionless. The objects are made out of plexiglass and aluminium, which are both relatively low in friction. The friction is necessary at a point because it prevents the top from rotation more because the motor being used is very high in torque.

3. Can a cat fit in the slit that are created?

The average brain size of a cat is 2 inches wide and head is usually around four. The opening is approximately four and a half inches allowing the cat plenty of room to put its head inside the pan to retrieve the food.

4. Could this cat feeder work for dogs?

Technically, the feeder could work for dogs, because smaller dogs could stick their snouts into the pan. However, the average do eats more than cat, so the food would last a dog a shorter amount of time.
